Dear PSSD Community,

Mr. Paschall
November is an exciting month at PSSD! Our schools are preparing special Veterans Day programs to honor those who have served our country, so be sure to check for details from your child’s school. Basketball season is also tipping off, and we can’t wait to cheer on our Inman Bulldogs! Don’t forget—this year we’ll enjoy a full week off for Thanksgiving. We’re thankful for our students, families, and staff who make PSSD such a great place to learn and grow.

Bulldog Pride Shines Bright: Inman Middle School Earns TMSAA Championship Runner-Up

What a season for the Inman Middle School Bulldogs! Our football team gave it their all this year, finishing as runner-up in the TMSAA Championship Game and making the entire Bulldog community proud.

From the first whistle to the final snap, these athletes demonstrated heart, determination, and teamwork. Their grit on the field and dedication in practice paid off in an unforgettable season filled with big plays, tough defense, and true Bulldog spirit. The team’s incredible run to the championship showcased not just their skill, but their sportsmanship and unity as well. They ended regular season undefeated.

A special round of applause goes out to our cheerleaders, whose energy and enthusiasm kept the crowd roaring all season long! Their chants, stunts, and smiles brought life to every game and inspired our players to give their best.

And of course, we can’t forget the Inman Middle School Band—their upbeat music and school spirit kept the stands rocking and the Bulldog pride booming. You’ve shown that being a Bulldog means playing with passion, supporting one another, and never giving up. The entire Inman community is so proud of you!

Go Bulldogs!

Better Together: Building Friendships Through the Best Buddies Program

In PSSD, we believe that everyone deserves a friend — someone to share a laugh with, celebrate achievements, and support through challenges. That’s why our Best Buddies Program continues to be one of the most meaningful initiatives in our school community.

The program pairs participants to create genuine, lasting friendships that go beyond the surface. Each buddy partnership is built on mutual respect, understanding, and fun.

Through these connections, participants gain more than just a friend — they gain confidence, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for inclusion. The impact extends far beyond the program itself, fostering a culture of kindness and belonging across our entire community.

We’ve seen incredible stories of friendship blossom through Best Buddies — from first-time participants finding a lifelong friend to returning buddies who say the program has changed the way they see the world.

Our Best Buddies were recently recognized at the HCHS football game. We are so proud of all of our participants.

Thank you to Shayna Miles who leads this endeavor as well as all our staff volunteers.

Together, we can continue to make a difference — one friendship at a time.

Bulldog Pride is Community Wide

At PSSD, we know that Bulldog Pride is Community Wide! This fall, our students, staff, families, and neighbors came together to celebrate what makes our school and community so special—teamwork, tradition, and true Bulldog spirit.

One of the highlights of the season was the Inman Middle School Band’s performance at the community Spooktacular event. Their lively music filled the air and set the perfect festive tone for the day.

Adding to the fun, our School Resource Officers (SROs) joined in on the festivities, handing out candy to smiling children and greeting families. Their presence helped make the event both safe and enjoyable for everyone—a great reminder that our SROs are an important part of our Bulldog family, building positive connections throughout the community.

At Paris Elementary, the Fall Cookout brought families together for food, fun, and fellowship. Parents, students, and teachers shared laughs, enjoyed a yummy meal, and celebrated the strong ties that unite our school family. The turnout showed just how deeply our families care about supporting one another and our school.

Not to be outdone, Rhea Elementary hosted a Family Movie Night, where families could relax and enjoy food, games, and a movie together. The event offered a perfect opportunity for students and parents to connect outside the classroom and simply have fun as part of the larger Bulldog community.

Rhea also held a festive Trunk or Treat, where our local fire department, National Guard, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Air Evac, West Tennessee Healthcare, and several area businesses joined in to make the day extra special. We’re so thankful for their support, generosity, and community spirit in helping create a fun and memorable event for our students.

From local events to daily classroom moments, the spirit of the Bulldog runs through everything we do. We are grateful for the continued encouragement and enthusiasm from our families, staff, and community who make PSSD such a special place to learn and grow.

Because here in PSSD, Bulldog Pride truly is Community Wide!
