Principal's Notes Week 9

Posted by Jason Scarbrough on 9/30/2019

-Week 9.  Today, I want to remind parents that we will be sending interim grades home at the end of the week.  We ask everyone to pay close attention to your child’s progress in each of their classes.  If you as parents have concerns, please contact your child’s teachers and set up a meeting to see what we all can do together to help your child.  One of our goals here at IMS is to be available to our parents.  We want to work with you to help your child to excel in their studies and be ready for high school and beyond.

-Ms. Melody Cain has begun collecting pictures for our Nov. 11th Veteran’s Day Program.  If you have a family member, or you have served in any of the Armed Forces we would be honored for you to attend our program and submit a picture for our slideshow.  Pictures should be emailed to

-We will begin our PAC Membership Drive next week.  Please be looking for more information on this effort by our Parent Organization Committee.

-Also, next week, students will be taking our common assessments.  We call our common assessment the CASE test.  We give the Case Assessment to our students so we can better monitor their learning and reteach concepts if needed.  In some cases, it helps us know what students have already learned, so we can move on to new material.  Our Case Assessments are very important to us and provide the information we need to help each student.

-This week will be our last regular season football game.  Please make plans to come out and support your Bulldogs.
