    IMS Parents Email Week 39

This week we officially end an interesting school year.  I want to take a minute to tell each of you how much we have loved having your child at IMS this year.  Although our year was cut short, I am confident our exceptional teachers covered all material your child needs to go to the next grade.  We missed out on some in-depth review of the material and our typical prep instruction for the upcoming school year, but our teachers covered all-new content expected for the year.  We will work extra hard and patiently in the Fall to recover from the time we lost this school year.

8th Graders, I am sorry for the circumstances of your year.  You missed out on a lot of stuff. In the grand scheme of things, you have the honor of being the IMS class of 2020, and we will never forget you.  I am very proud of each of you and please know your report card now says, Inman Middle School, Where Excellence is Expected!  Although you are leaving us and we will no longer see you daily, be assured that IMS will continue to watch for your successes both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities with much interest and much pride. You all have made us proud, and we have very HIGH expectations for you all. I will always expect excellence from you, and I know you will excel!

We have missed our work and especially our students.  As always, please let your children know how much we love them and look forward to seeing them as soon as we can.

    With much love and sincerity,

    IMS Parents/Guardians,

-We are working this week to gather everything to hand out to our students next week.  We have been cleaning out lockers, averaging grades, printing report cards, and getting gifts together for our students.

-We want to congratulate all new inductees into the IMS Beta Club and also, our all A’s students.  Both groups of students’ parents should have received a letter from the school by now.

-Our IMS PAC committee has worked very hard to purchase a gift for each student, and we will give them to students during May 18th and 19th as we handout student personal effects, yearbooks, report cards, etc.

-Finally, 8th grade will be getting a great gift or two from the PAC committee since we did not get to attend the 8th-grade trip this year.

-Today is the last instructional packet pick up day.  Next week we will have scheduled personal effects pick-up times.

-If you see one of our teaching assistants or teachers in the community, tell them how much you appreciate them.  Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week.
