Our second semester has gotten off to a great start here at Rhea School. Our lockdown drill went great on Tuesday. The students did a great job executing our plans for an intruder drill. Thanks to our teachers and staff for their continued emphasis on safety. Safety will always be a top priority here at W.G. Rhea. Report cards have been sent home and we celebrated our classrooms with improvements in attendance. We greatly appreciate our parents and all you do to help students continue to grow in all areas of education. Attendance is vital for not only educational success, but in all areas of a child's life. It is important in building relationships among peers and mentors and in building the social skills needed to be successful in life.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday is Monday, January 21st. There will be no school that day within the P.S.S.D. This is an opportunity to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King within our community. Our 100th day celebration will be Tuesday, January 22nd. We will send more information home regarding this in the near future.
February the 8th, we have a mother/son and father/daughter dance scheduled. This is an exciting event for our students and parents. We will send more information out about this event as time approaches.
There are always many exciting events going on at Rhea School and your continued involvment and support is appreciated.
