Class Rules and Policies

No surprises!
Everything you need to know about
surviving and flourishing in language arts and social studies is right here, as
well as posted in the classroom.
Letters were sent home at the start of the year outlining my policies,
and both parents and students were required to sign it, signifying they
understand the policies and the consequences for choosing to break the rules.
The posted Classroom
Rules are as follows:
- Be kind. No name calling or making fun of people.
- Show respect to students and teachers.
- Keep your hands off other people and their stuff.
- Come prepared every day. This includes the following: paper,
writing tools, text (if necessary), laptop, and your social studies folder.
- Be responsible. Keep up with your materials, turn work in on time,
and accept the consequences when you err.
- Don't ask to leave the room. A procedure for bathroom visits will
be developed, and students should not ask to leave to go to the bathroom
at any other time. All business at the lockers, with the office, and with
other teachers should be conducted at the appropriate time. Academic time
is not the appropriate time.
