Our present projects involve exploring the first element of design-LINE. The third grade is doing a “line sampler” project in which they create a collection of many different parallel lines. The fourth grade is using line to create a “wordless message”. Choosing either straight lines and shapes OR curved lines and shapes, they express a message in a colored work of art. The fifth grade is creating a “cityscape” using either natural lines OR curved lines.
