Mrs. Porter’s
Rules and Expectations
In
this class it is very important that you remember to BE RESPONSIBLE! The entire 6th grade has the same set of
5 rules, so no matter where you go…the rules apply!
· Rule #1: Follow Directions the first time they are
given.
· Rule #2: Raise your hand and wait for permission to
speak.
· Rule #3: Stay in your seat unless you have
permission to do otherwise.
· Rule #4: Keep hands, feet, and
objects to yourself.
· Rule #5: No cursing or teasing. Always
show respect towards others! ( Now that’s a rule to keep all through your
life.)
Consequences
that are implemented for inappropriate behavior modification vary from notes
home, silent lunches, detention, suspension, write-offs, or visits to the
principal.
v Homework: Homework is due either before journals or after
grading. If homework is late, you will be assigned detention. The completed
late homework will have points deducted for not being on time.
v Redos: Redos are allowed on homework/classwork assignments
only. It must be a new sheet with the previous assignment stapled to it. I will
not accept an erased and corrected paper as a redo. The redo assignment will
have points deducted.
v Planners: Planners will be checked daily on Team A. If there
are any comments from parents, they can be sent by way of the planners.
Students may fill out planners during class and will be given several minutes
at the beginning of last period to fill them out.
v Bathroom: Bathroom breaks are between classes. Permission to
go during class will not be permitted during the first 10 minutes, last 10
minutes, or during instruction time.
v Locker Breaks: Students may go to their lockers at
designated times only. If a student needs to go back to his/her locker during
class, he/she must sign the late to class sheet. 3 late to classes = detention.
Locker breaks: Before the bell, after 3rd period, before
lunch, after lunch, after 7th period, before exploratory.
