Scott Owens, Principal

W. G. Rhea Elementary School

Scott Owens received his Bachelor of Science degree from David Lipscomb University and his Master of Education degree from Tennessee State University. Mr. Owens came to W. G. Rhea Elementary at the beginning of the 1999-2000 school year. He previously worked at the Tennessee State Department of Education where he held positions including Administrative Assistant for Accountability, Director of Education Information Services, and Attendance Administrator. He has worked as a physical education teacher and coach for schools in Saint Louis, Missouri and Centerville, Tennessee.

Mr. Owens is married to Paula Owens and has two sons, Donovan and Nathaniel. He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, reading, and traveling.
