The student planners are used daily to help students learn responsibility (having their planner signed daily and returned daily),

organization (daily homework and homework schedule; weekly special area schedule),

and citizenship (star sheets),

and will be used for teachers and parents to keep in touch on a daily basis.

Your child should bring home the Rocket Planner in his or her backpack each day.  Please look in the front and back pockets of the planner each day for notes from school, class work, and homework sheets.  *Please send any money or notes from home in the pocket of the planner each day.  I will check the Rocket Planner before 8:00 each morning.

*In the front of the planner you will find important information about the school calendar, attendance, and transportation policies.

·      * The weekly homework shuttle will be sent home in the planner on Mondays.  It gives the homework assignment for each day of the week.  Please sign your child’s completed homework sheet as indicated on the homework paper and return it to school each day.  The special area classes for each week day are given on the sheet also.  Please remember to have your child wear tennis shoes on PE days and to return library books on library days

*At the back of the planner are the weekly Star Sheets.

·      The Star Sheet has a comment space available for communication between parents and teachers.

·      The Star Sheet also helps keep you informed of your child’s daily conduct and work habits.  The conduct and work habit rules are listed at the bottom of the Star Sheet.

·       Please initial the parent box daily so I am sure you have reviewed your child’s school work and behavior.
