Ms. Cheri’s
Weekly Newsletter
for: April 30-May
4 2012
This week we had a lot of fun reading books about “fish”. We also learned some facts about “fish”. Our popcorn word was “some”. Next week we will be learning about “spiders”
and our popcorn word will be “could”.
Please remember our Fish Fry parade tomorrow, April 26 at 8:30 am. We will march around the building – it is a
very exciting day for the children.
Please remember that I need the boys to wear
blue jeans or blue jean shorts and a white t-shirt. If you want to fix their hair up like the
fifty’s, that would be great. I need for
the girls to wear a white sweater or t-shirt.
I have the poodle skirts for them, but they will need to wear shorts to
school tomorrow so they can wear them under their skirts. If your child has long hair, they can wear it
up in a pony tail. I need both the boys
and girls to wear tennis shoes and bring a pair of sunglasses to school
tomorrow.
When the parade is over, I will take my class back to the classroom
and we will change clothes and use the restroom before we go out to start our
Field Day activities. We will be outside
for Field Day from 9:00-11:15. Then we
will come back to the classroom and get ready for lunch. We will eat lunch from 11:30-12:15. We will be eating outside on the left side of
the school over by the pine trees and picnic tables. When we finish eating lunch, I will take my
class back to the classroom and lay them down for rest time.
Bookworm
Contest will be over on April 30! This
will be the last day to turn in a book log.
The week of April 30-May 4, I will be testing the children to see
what level they are reading on with DRA.
They will also take their final STAR test on the computer.
