Reading Information

In August or September we will begin our Bookworm Contest. The idea is to encourage READING!! My goal is for every child in my room to read 100 books. If your child reads 100 books, they will receive a special reward from me. At the end of the year, I give a trophy to the top 3 readers. Parents may read books to their child or the children may read some easy readers too.

Children will be given a form to list 20 books read. Please include the title for each book read on the child’s form. Do not turn in the log until 20 books have been read. When the form is returned to school, the child will receive 2 bookworms to go on the Bookworm wall over their apple with their name on it.

Please encourage reading at home!
