The purpose of Rhea PTO is to HELP, SUPPORT and ENCOURAGE the students of W.G. Rhea. This is a summary of all of the events PTO sponsors and helps coordinate parent/school involvement. We hope to see you at PTO events and help bring a smile to our student’s faces!

Other Ways to Be Participate Year-round:

Ÿ Be a room parent! Room parents are responsible for coordinating Fall and Spring parties with the other parents in the room each year. As the year passes, you may find other special things you’d like to do for your teacher and students, but the two primary responsibilities are the parties.

Ÿ Rhea Elementary’s award-winning Website is managed by our Music teacher, Mrs. Angie Hawkins. If you haven’t seen it, you definitely need to take some time to surf through it. The school’s calendar, names of teachers and their extensions, PTO events & activities, pictures from school events, and many other helpful and fun tools are updated very often! Ÿ If you’re interested in helping students gain extra help with their schoolwork, please sign up to be a classroom tutor. Many tutors have a specific, one-hour per week time during which they provide extra one-on-one attention to the children. This is a teacher-driven program, so be sure to check with your teacher to find out if they prefer additional help.

Ÿ VERY IMPORTANT --- ANYTHING sent to students (letters, notes, memos, etc.) MUST BE APPROVED by Principal Scott Owens prior to distribution.
