Sometimes schools have to dismiss due to inclement weather, flu outbreaks, etc.  This is our new snow day policy:

The first three days missed for snow will not have to be made up.  The next five days will be added to the end of the school year. Even if all five of these days must be used, students will still not be in school past Memorial Day.  Any additional days missed for snow or other situations will not be made up as long as this number of days does not surpass the allotted 13 days the school stockpiles by having students attend school 30 minutes longer each day than the state requires.  The Board of Education reserves the right to schedule more makeup days (i.e. days of Spring Break) in the event of a natural disaster or extreme weather situation.  Middle of the year makeup days will only occur in extreme situations.
