Standards of Pedagogy

 

1.          Learning centered teachers teach toward Clear Learning Goals.

2.        Learning centered teachers plan activities that are Congruent to the learning goal.

3.        Learning centered teachers begin instruction based on a Diagnosis of prior learning.

4.        Learning centered teachers create a Task Analysis for each learning goal.

5.        Learning centered teachers elicit Overt Responses from all learners during instruction. (ALL students DURING the learning.) (APPLICATION level checks for understandings.)

6.        Learning centered teachers make Mid-Course Corrections throughout the learning.
