School Improvement Plan Goals for
q Goal 1: Students demonstrate understanding of basic reading concepts
and use this knowledge in different subjects.
q Goal 2: Students demonstrate understanding of basic math
concepts and use this knowledge in different subjects.
q Goal 3: Students
practice self-control and show respect for others.
1. Our goal is for students to demonstrate
understanding of basic math concepts by scoring 80% on grade level mid-term and
end-of-year math tests.
2. Our goal is for students to demonstrate
understanding of basic reading concepts by maintaining an average of 85% on
grade level unit tests given each six weeks. Students will also engage in the
STAR Early Literacy Reading computer program showing a 5% grade level gain by
the end of the school year using pre-tests/post-test data.
3. Our goal is for 95% of our students to demonstrate and practice self-control and show respect for others by maintaining and average of O or S in conduct at the end of each semester.
Our staff is focusing on these three goals in all
aspects of school life. We hope that parents and community members will also
help the students to reach these goals. Our belief is that we will share
in the responsibility of teaching the children. We need for parents and
community members to take a serious interest in the future of our students.
Parental support is VITAL to a child's success in school.
