Dear Parents,
Thank
you for sharing your children with me this year! It has been a joy to have your children in
class. We have read so many wonderful
books and learned so much in math. I
know your child will do well in 2nd grade. I cannot believe that this school year is
almost over. It has been a great
year!!! Once again, thank you for all
that you have done throughout the year to make it a great year. You all have been wonderful! I would like to encourage your child to read
often this summer, as well as continuing practicing math facts. Starting 2nd grade will be so much
easier if you’ve continued to read and practice your math facts. J

Tuesday,
May 15th will be Awards Day and Promotion day. Our class will be having awards at
11:15-11:45. I hope you can attend and
are welcome to stay and join us for lunch if you would like. Please remember if you will be staying for
lunch the cafeteria needs at least 24 hour notice. Your child will also be meeting their new
teacher that afternoon for the 2012-2013 school year.

Wednesday, May 16th, will be our last regular full day of school
for the students. Please remember that
report cards will be held if your child has any overdue library books or if
they owe money to Kids Club or the cafeteria.

Please
send a plastic bag with your child between now and Tuesday for any over flow
that might not fit in their book bags.

If
you would like your child's report card mailed, please send a self addressed
stamped envelope to school by Wednesday, May 16th
.
·
There
will be no school for students on Thursday, May 17th-this is an
administrative day for teachers.
·
Friday, May 18th will be
Report Card day. It is a come and go day
for students. If you do not send a self-addressed stamped envelope you may pick
up your child's report card from 7:30-9:00.
Buses will run on Friday, May 18th, however breakfast will
not be served at school. Buses will run
regular time in the morning, but we will be loading buses at 9:00 for
dismissal. Please remember that if your
child brings a self-addressed stamped envelope they do not have to come to
school on Friday!
