                Parents will:

ü  be involved in my child’s education;

ü  see that my child attends school regularly and on time;

ü  provide a home environment that encourages my child to learn;

ü  ensure that all homework assignments are completed and set up a routine for homework;

ü  communicate regularly with my child’s teachers;

ü  support the school in developing positive behaviors;

ü  talk with my child about his/her school activities every day;

ü  encourage my child to read at home and to monitor and limit his/her TV viewing and video game playing;

ü  be willing to volunteer time at my child’s school when possible;

ü  show respect and support for my child, teacher, and the school;

ü  assure my child comes to school in appropriate attire;

ü  regularly check my child’s backpack for work and communication from school and   teachers.

ü  work cooperatively with my classmates;

ü  show respect for myself, my school, and other people;

ü  obey the school and the bus rules;

ü  come to school prepared with my homework and my supplies;

ü  believe that I can learn and achieve;

ü  limit the time I spend watching TV and playing video games;

ü  be honest in all I do.

                Teachers will:

ü  ­­Provide high quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables children to meet the State of Tennessee and No Child Left Behind standards;

ü  demonstrate professional behavior and a positive attitude;

ü  come to class prepared to teach and provide an environment where learning can take place;

ü  help each child grow to his/her fullest potential and show respect for each child and his/her family;

ü  provide meaningful and appropriate homework activities;

ü  participate in staff development;

ü  believe that each student can achieve;

ü  enforce school and classroom rules fairly and consistently;

ü  Create a safe & supportive environment, free from sarcasm, yelling, or arguing
