Of course, all of us know
that each of us needs math everyday. The emphasis on math in the 6th
grade is to connect with the way students think, to build on previous skills,
and continuously check for understanding.
The first
six weeks in math will be spent on the following:
A review of previously learned concepts including:
Place value
Comparison of
numbers
Order of operations
Some basic geometry
