W.O Inman Middle School was built in 1975 and was originally designed and used as an elementary school.  It remained that way until 1995 when the building was restructured to serve grades sixth through eighth.  The Paris Special School District added the seventh grade in 1995 and then the eighth grade in 1996.  Prior to 1995 those grades were a part of the county system and the students attended Grove School.  W.O. Inman School has served as a kindergarten through sixth grade school as well as a fifth through sixth grade school before becoming a middle school (grades sixth through eighth) in 1995.
