Thanks so much to our PTO volunteers for ALL of the great work sponsoring events and all of the other activities this year. President Angie Ridgeway, VP Tiffany Latta, Secretary Jenny Hutson and Treasurer Carrye Jackson have been tremendous leaders and all of the Rhea family appreciates their efforts.
PK will have their last day of school on the 18th and the rest of PSSD completes student attendance with a full day on Wednesday the 19th. The Rhea staff wishes each of you a pleasant and enjoyable summer. We bid best wishes to our current 2nd grade students that will be moving on to PES for 3rd grade and we pray blessings on the senior class from HCHS that were here just a few short years ago.
The 2016-17 school year will begin with a different look on campus. Our 26 classroom building project has begun and the campus will be greatly transformed this summer. Some of the logistics for car riders and bus riders will be altered and other tweeks will be made as this construction project will be ongoing for a couple of years.
Remember also: The new Rhea start time for 2016-17 will be 7:40-2:40 which is 5 minutes earlier than the past several years.
We will have a myON Summer Challenge for students to read books on-line. This challenge will take place from May 16-August 15th. Great prizes will be awarded so look for more information on our website.
